Bio

I've been editing from a very young age, with strong interest in video production and animation my entire life.

I have five years of formal education in Video Production, having earned a Moving Image BTEC at Peterborough Regional College, followed by a BSc (Hons) Degree in Media Production at De Montfort University (2:1). I have also trained in Live Studio Production and AVID Media Composer with the BBC.

In 2010, I worked for a year as a Videographer for a Fashion and Gadgets retailer based in Ipswich. I had the sole responsibility of creating over 20 Videos per month, which means I am well versed in working in a range of style and producing results very quickly. For the last seven years, I have worked in International Broadcasting in Graphics and Transmission roles. During my time with Discovery Networks, I operated the transmission of the 2018 Winter Olympics for Eurosport, which demanded prolonged focus, both day and night, for many weeks. Working alongside others in this high-pressure, 24 hour environment to deliver content viewed by millions was greatly rewarding.

My editing software of choice is Adobe CC, for all my video and photo work. I regularly produce content for my YouTube Channel, ‘Fossil Arcade’, providing myself a platform to learn new skills and express my talents. I have collaborated with retailers and other YouTube Channels as a freelancer, including thumbnail art for Bill Oakley (Producer, The Simpsons).

I am constantly making use of all the software tools at my disposal in Premiere and After Effects CC, which require the height of organisation. Likewise, I’m confident my interpersonal skills can be beneficial in all collaborations, and I’m available for travel whenever necessary.
